Moderation Menu

This menu allows you to create a group or conference call that gives you moderation privileges.

Moderated Group

A moderated Group is one that is generated from the Moderation Menu. The name that you are prompted to enter will be the name of the Group in the same way as pressing the Create button for a non-moderated Group. Standard Moderation allows the moderator (creator) to right click on participant’s names and select from the following: Make a participant into a Moderator, make a participant an Owner, giving that participant rights to create Moderators in addition to making other Owners of the Group. Moderators can also Kick users out of a Group from the length of time that the group exists.

Talk Controlled Group

A talk controlled Group has all the attributes of a Standard Moderated Group with a “Give Mike” Option. This Moderation starts with all participants Muted (no microphone) and the Moderator can give the Microphone to any user or number of users that he or she wishes. Participants can request the Microphone by Typing into the text chat box below the Group’s participant list.

Large Group

In Large Group Moderation no participants appear in the list. In this way it is a broadcast only mode. Text chat and messaging are available for feedback and Q&A.

UnKick User

This item will be activated if you are a moderator in a moderated group or conference. If you want to allow someone you have kicked out back in, you would select this option, and type in their alias. This will remove them from the kick list for this group.

Moderated Conference

This is a “conference call” moderated in the same way as a moderated Group.

Only a moderator can invite someone into the conference, making the conference very secure.

This Moderation allows the moderator (call initiator) to right click on participant’s names and select from the following: Make a participant into a Moderator, make a participant an Owner, giving that participant rights to create Moderators in addition to making other Owners of the Call. Moderators can also Kick users out of a Call for the length of time the call is on progress.

Talk Controlled Conference

This is a “conference call” moderated in the same way as a Talk Moderated Group. This Moderation starts with all participants Muted (no microphone) and the Moderator can give the Microphone to any user or number of users that he or she wishes.
